What is the format for workshops?
Play is what children do best and comes naturally to them. It is stress-free and pleasurable; therefore, the brain is most receptive to new information and skill development during play. For this reason, My Rockin' Tutor takes a play-based approach to learning. Workshops can vary in format depending on the activity but generally have a small instructional component of about 15% of the session, with the remaining 85% given to games and activities that support the new skill for the day. During the play, Kara is watching and coaching so students get immediate feedback and support as they navigate playful learning. This strategy gives students the independence they crave and need while also feeling supported and encouraged to take academic risks.

What days and times are the workshops?
Workshops are held on weekdays between 2 pm and 6 pm. We will coordinate a specific day and time during enrollment.
What is the difference between 4-session workshops and 8-session workshops?
All workshops include 4 hours of content. You can choose to have your student meet for 1 hour or 30 minutes per week.

How Much is Each Workshop?
Each workshop costs $360
Payment and Cancellations
During the enrollment process, you will receive an email with additional instructions for payment. Payment must be made in full prior to starting each workshop. Payments are nonrefundable.
Cancellations will be honored when emailed to myrockintutor@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advance. We will make every effort to reschedule.If the student fails to attend a session without prior notice it is considered a "no-show" that will result in forfeiting the session payment and the opportunity to reschedule.
How Do I Sign Up?
Sign-ups occur on a rolling basis. Sessions run until the workshop is completed or September 30th.

Purchased workshops are non-refundable.
